Established in 2006, Tagright Electrical performs tagging, electrical contracting and maintenance in industrial, commercial and residential premises.
They have been offering Year 11 and 12 Construction students weekly work placements in their business for over four years.
Owner, Bhagat Singh says “It is good to help out. Someone gave me an opportunity when I was young and I like to do the same. It is good for students to learn and you get the opportunity to get them interested in your industry. I would recommend the MWLP Linking Youth program to all businesses. It is a win/win. I have offered some students casual work on weekends. It has been a help to my business.”

Students get to pull and clip cables, mount brackets on walls, cut holes in plasterboard, test circuits and assist tradesmen.
Business of the Month winners are promoted on our website, Facebook and LinkedIn. Their article is published in our monthly e-newsletter which is distributed to hundreds of our stakeholders.
Thanks to our wonderful sponsor, Swissotel Sydney, winners also receive a lavish weekend high-tea for two.
