Outstanding Business of the Month: Mid-State Constructions
Nine year old Macarthur business, Mid-State Constructions specialises in carpentry and building new residential homes, decks and pergolas.
They joined the MWLP program some 12 months ago and haven’t looked back. Brad Terry, Owner, offers HSC students the opportunity to get real ‘hands on’ experience in his business. “It’s a great way to get extra help and even good staff. One of our students impressed us so much we employed him as a casual through the holidays”, said Brad.
It didn’t take long before Brad was recommending the MWLP program to other construction businesses. It’s a win/win for everyone. The students get their hands dirty and decide whether construction is for them. Brad gets to see the students in action – definitely the best way to interview.
