MWLP is a community organization with over 14 years experience in supporting young people in the Macarthur region in their transition from school to work and/or further education and training. In doing so, MWLP works closely with business and industry, schools, TAFE colleges, parents, community groups and government.
MWLP actively seeks and fosters partnerships with business and industry to showcase local skill needs and career opportunities for youth. MWLP also supports business and industry to provide ‘hands on’ workplace learning opportunities for local youth.
There are many ways local businesses and industries can contribute to developing the future workforce:
- By having HSC students complete a week’s work placement with your organization
- Offering workplace tours for young people, teachers and parents
- Talking to young people in their school about your company and/or industry
- Participate in Mock Job Interviews
- Attending the Macarthur Area Careers Expo
- Contribute to school-business partnerships and projects
