Outstanding Business of the Month: DWP Network Automotive
Located in Airds Road Minto this full automotive workshop specialises in numerous repairs and maintenance of vehicles. They do unrestricted registrations and have been in business in Macarthur for over 33 years.
This forward thinking business likes to give back to the community and believes in giving youth a go – that is why DWP Network Automotive offers two HSC students the opportunity to work in their workshop every month. These students are engaged in ‘real’ work, identifying nuts and bolts, assisting with basic servicing and rebuilding CV shafts, etc.
Owner/Manager, David Perry encourages kids to get out and experience work. He is proud to introduce them to the automotive industry. He takes the time to talk about career options explaining the difference between a basic and a specialist mechanic.
David says, “Local business should give back to the community. Someone took the time to train me and I really appreciated it. Get young people involved in your industry and your business.”
As this month’s winner, DWP Network Automotive will receive profiling in the Macarthur Chronicle, one month’s free advertising on C91.3FM, exposure on www.mwlp.com.au and thanks to Event Cinemas Campbelltown, Gold Class movie tickets.
