Outstanding Business of the Month: Proweld Engineering
MWLP’s December winner is a steel fabrication shop, specialising in railway related components, overhead wiring, bogie parts, etc. located in Ingleburn.
They are brilliant supporters of the MWLP program offering HSC students hands on learning opportunities in Metal & Engineering. Joining the program in 2007 they take one student each fortnight.
Proweld Foreman, Jason Bryce, says “The program can help expose your business to the younger generation. You get the opportunity to assess each student’s potential and hopefully guide them on their career pathway. We recently had a student, who did their work placement in 2009, come to us looking for work and he’s now employed as a casual. “
As this month’s winner, Proweld will receive profiling in the Macarthur Chronicle, one month’s free advertising on C91.3FM, exposure on www.mwlp.com.au and thanks to Event Cinemas Campbelltown, Gold Class movie tickets.
To find out how your business can become involved in hosting HSC students for week-long work placements, please phone Peter Miller at MWLP on 4625 1863 or email firstname.lastname@example.org .
Areas of interest other than Metal & Engineering are Automotive, Business Services, Construction, Entertainment, Hospitality, Information Technology, Primary Industries, Retail and Tourism.
It’s a great way to showcase your business and it’s free.
