Endeavour Kitchens has been established for 47 years and specialises in both new and renovated kitchens. Rohil Chand began his career with them as an employee but soon became the owner/manager. He is proud to say that 100% of his business is via word of mouth.
Rohil has an undeniable passion for young people and offers one Macarthur HSC student a valuable work placement in his industry every week and has done so since early in 2013.
Rohil sees value for the students and himself. They get an idea of what is involved in his industry and he gets some helpful hands.
The students assist on the saw, haul timber, pick up cut pieces, clean, edge, install and demolish (something most students really enjoy).
Rohil says “I like to make the learning a bit of fun. The students that ask the most questions definitely get the most out of the placement. Some students have no idea of what to expect and it is rewarding to see how much they learn in the week they are with me. I encourage more businesses to get involved with MWLP and help students learn about their industry.”
As this month’s outstanding winner, Endeavour Kitchens will receive profiling in the Campbelltown, Camden and Wollondilly editions of the Macarthur Chronicle, one month’s free advertising on C91.3FM, exposure on www.mwlp.com.au and thanks to United Cinemas Narellan, Grand Seating movie tickets.
