June 2012 – Peace Engineering Pty Limited

Outstanding Business of the Month: Peace Engineering

Established in 1970 Peace Engineering designs, manufactures and installs custom made noise control equipment Australia wide.

Examples of their work include RAAF jet test cell, AGL gas compressor enclosures, Foxtel studio doors, Sydney Theatre Company stage doors and the Kimberly Clark nappy production line.

This small family run business is giving back to the Macarthur community in a big way offering HSC students who are studying Metal & Engineering, the opportunity to undertake work placement in their business for the past five years.

Managing Director, Robert Mason, encourages each and every student to work on a project that is meaningful and is something they can take home with them at the end of the week.  Many choose to make a tool box. They also mark out, cut, fold, weld and assist the tradesmen.

Robert says “HSC students need to discover the many career options that are available to them.  We had a student who was a really fast learner and thoroughly enjoyed his MWLP work placement.  Today he is our 2nd year Apprentice and an important part of our team.”

Robert adds “Get on board with MWLP.  It’s great to help out these young students who will be running the Macarthur region in a few years from now!”

As this month’s outstanding winner, Peace Engineering will receive profiling in the Macarthur Chronicle, one month’s free advertising on C91.3FM, exposure on www.mwlp.com.au and thanks to United Cinemas Narellan, Grand Seating movie tickets.
