Outstanding Business Winner: Be Healthy Macarthur Square
Passion, dedication and the willingness to give back to the Macarthur Community have won Be Healthy Macarthur Square this month’s prestigious MWLP Business of the Month Award.
Owner, Nabil Courtelis, offers three students each week the opportunity to get hands on experience in his work place. These Macarthur students are studying Hospitality as part of the Higher School Certificate and really appreciate the opportunities they are given. Duties include the morning preparation of pre-made sandwiches and wraps, cutting up fruit ready to be juiced, cleaning, shopping and customer service.
In addition, Nabil owns and operates I-Sandwich and Le Square Cafe, also located in Macarthur Square.
The MWLP Work Placement Program is ideal for him. “It is an excellent way to introduce students to the work environment. I’ve found the students to be eager and enthusiastic and I’ve employed three great casuals from the Program”, Nabil says.
He adds “It’s good for your business, the community and the students. It’s an additional pair of hands and it’s great for my staff as they get to develop their individual training skills, learn to be more patient and are more aware of Workplace Safety.”
As this month’s outstanding winner, Be Healthy will receive profiling in the Macarthur Chronicle, one month’s free advertising on C91.3FM, exposure on www.mwlp.com.au and thanks to United Cinemas Narellan, Grand Seating movie tickets.
