May 2017 Hard Rock Cafe Sydney

Hard Rock Cafe Sydney is the place for you if you want a rock and roll atmosphere, handcrafted cocktails, savoury dining and some of the most iconic music memorabilia.

Located in the lively, picturesque Darling Harbour, you cannot miss Hard Rock Café Sydney’s high-energy vibe as you wander down the historic wharf. Open 7 days a week. Rock and Roll memorabilia covers the walls of this Cafe telling the stories and rich history of Rock Legends such as the Rolling Stones, U2, The Sex Pistols, Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix and more.

Whether you are looking for a place to get the party started, a cherished group dining experience or just a night of casual dining with friends – Hard Rock Cafe Sydney is a place to have the rock star experience.

For the past five years Hard Rock Café Sydney has been offering four students every week the opportunity to put the skills they have learnt in the classroom to good use in the work force.

These Year 11 and 12 students are studying vocational courses such as Hospitality (both Front and Back of House), Business Services and Retail.

Jess Logan, Sales & Events Coordinator, sees great value in the MWLP program.  “We host students, at no cost, to assist with our busy workload and get to identify students with potential.  It’s the best way to interview.”

Jess adds “We treat the students the same way we treat our staff.  Should someone be late they are disciplined.  It teaches them basic work and life skills.  There are many positive outcomes and they even bring you business.  The students enjoy their time here and come back with their family and friends to experience the Hard Rock Café as a customer.  We couldn’t recommend the program highly enough.”

To find out how your business can get involved in hosting HSC students for week-long work placements, please phone Peter Miller at MWLP on (02) 4625 1863 or email peter.miller@mwlp.com.au

You could win promotion on C91.3FM, feature in the Macarthur Advertiser and win dinner for two at The Hermitage Restaurant.

Students also require work placement in other areas such as Automotive, Construction, Electrotechnology, Entertainment, Human Services, Information & Digital Technology, Metal & Engineering, Primary Industries and Tourism.

It’s a great way to showcase your business and it’s free.
