Outstanding Business of the Month: Pro-Axle Narellan
Pro-Axle Narellan was established in 1988 and relocated to its own premises in Smeaton Grange in 2009. The core business involves truck/4WD wheel alignment balancing and suspension repairs; however they also repair vehicles, do basic servicing, registration checks, blue slips and defect clearances, etc.
Owner/Director Bryan Freestone’s passion for his industry is infectious and he is more than willing to pass on his knowledge to Macarthur’s youth. Pro-Axle Narellan has been offering Year 11 and 12 students, who are studying Automotive as part of their HSC, the opportunity to get hands on learning since 2008. The students get to use basic air and hand tools and observe how to do a wheel alignment.
Bryan says “It’s a win/win situation. Students get to see what the workplace is all about and I get to see if any kids are good enough to work here. The MWLP program is excellent. It costs you nothing and you get to meet a whole bunch of great kids. The parents are grateful too often bringing in little gifts – it’s brilliant.”
As this month’s outstanding winner, Pro-Axle Narellanwill receive profiling in the Macarthur Chronicle, one month’s free advertising on C91.3FM, exposure on www.mwlp.com.au and thanks to our much valued new sponsor, United Cinemas Narellan, Grand Seating movie tickets.
