Visual Sounds is Australia’s longest established music video company. Established in 1980 they are suppliers of Top 40 music compilations to nightclubs, hotels, health clubs, retailers, hospitality outlets and juke boxes.
Students studying Entertainment as part of their Higher School Certificate are offered work placement in the Visual Sounds Smeaton Grange office each week.
Students get to review music, file music clips into the library, undertake graphic design and manipulate audio to suit clients’ needs. Cameron Leckenby from Visual Sounds takes on the students to give them an insight into the industry. Cameron says “Most students see it as glamorous work and it gives us satisfaction teaching students that there is a serious side. We think the MWLP program is great. You can end up finding a perfect student to fit in with your business profile. We have actually employed a former work placement student and she is great.”
As this month’s outstanding winner, Visual Sounds will receive profiling in the Macarthur Chronicle, one month’s free advertising on C91.3FM, exposure on www.mwlp.com.au and thanks to United Cinemas Narellan, Grand Seating movie tickets.
