Outstanding Business of the Month: Notebook Solutions
Notebook Solutions specialises in laptop services. The company started from humble beginnings in a garage in 2003 and now boasts two shop front locations in Campbelltown. They offer solutions for laptops including repairs, upgrades, parts, accessories and sales. They are a family based business employing local staff.
Ali Shafqat, Director of Notebook Solutions, is passionate about Macarthur Youth and the MWLP program, offering one student each week the opportunity to undertake hands-on learning. Ali goes out of his way to accommodate the students by tailoring work to their interests and passion. Students experience all aspects of business including customer service, communication and collaboration. They learn about the importance of policies and procedures; how to prepare a laptop for sale, stock entry, how to install programs and other important business operations.
Ali has a message for Macarthur Businesses saying, “Get involved with the program. You get to ‘try before you buy’. The students bring fresh ideas to your business and often they bring you customers. We’ve been so impressed with the calibre of kids that in 2008 we offered one student casual employment and he’s still with us. We nominated one of our recent students, Jeyla Suman for 2010 Work Placement Student of the Year and she won! She was amazing.”
As this month’s winner, Notebook Solutions will receive profiling in the Macarthur Chronicle, one month’s free advertising on C91.3FM, exposure on www.mwlp.com.au and thanks to Event Cinemas Campbelltown, Gold Class movie tickets.
