8.00am – 4.00pm Tuesday to Saturday. One hour lunch break. Student MUST phone Alina on the Monday of the week prior to the placement to confirm. Students MUST also email Alina to receive an online induction module which must be completed prior to the placement – failure to do so may result in the placement being cancelled.
Observe and assist staff Chef with temperature checks, food preparation, salad preparation, wood fired pizza prep, making desserts, working with Function Chef for events & various cleaning duties.
Full Chef’s uniform. Closed in non slip shoes. No vans/converse shoes, hair to be tied back, no fake nails or coloured nail polish and no jewellery. Students uniform must be clean and pressed and must be neat & tidy.
No mobile phone use while on placement. On the first day students are to report to the hotel reception to check in for placement. The remaining days students are expected to report straight to the kitchen.
