9.00am – 3.30pm Monday, 8.00am – 3.30pm Tuesday to Friday. Half hour lunch break. Student MUST phone host on the Monday of the week prior to placement to confirm – failure to do so may result in the placement being cancelled. This placement would be suited to a student interested in a career in Hospitality.
Observing and assisting chef and kitchen staff with the day to day duties in the kitchen including: meat and vegetable preparation. Manual handling: food storage, stock rotation and cleaning work areas including floors and work benches etc. Other duties include sandwich and cake prep for high tea.
